I Uncovered Some Money Saving Summer Travel Ideas Not Long Ago!
Even though the economy continues to be in lousy condition, everyone needs some kind of vacation now and then. I spent some time doing research to see if I can arrange a nice trip while saving money in the process. I’ve been looking at some of the online travel websites, and it seems that they all find very similar hotel deals when searching for plane fares and hotels.
Basically, in addition to finding the best price for airfare, car rental and hotel, it is important that you to use a travel website that has a reputation for providing a trouble-free vacation. Then I was thinking about where to go where it’s easy to find good prices on air travel or where I can drive my car. I should point out that Southern California might be a great choice.
One website I found with some great information on Southern California is the SoCal Vacation Guru site. At the present time, the site places particular emphasis on Orange County and Los Angeles County, with the stated goal of expanding its attention to San Diego County, San Bernardino County and Riverside County. You will find a great deal of local wisdom and information on Universal Studios from the SoCal Vacation Guru, as well as insight about beaches, Disneyland and other attractions.
I mentioned above just a couple of the seven major theme parks in Southern California, the complete list being Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Knott’s, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Legoland. If you were really energetic you could fit all of those parks into a very busy vacation, but it would not be an inexpensive trip. If your budget allows in this slow economy, you can probably find some great deals on hotels near Universal Studios Hollywood, with many hotel operators and other vacation businesses really looking for your patronage.
In slow economic times the theme parks tend to offer more discounts, as to the museums and other activities. Rather than flying to your vacation destination, you may find that, even with the crazy behavior of gasoline prices recently, you can save money by driving to Southern California this year.
